Morgan State University wins $1.8M grant to start national security program!
January 3-February 9 HBCU Equity Lawsuit: Trial began January 3 and is expected to last approximately six weeks. Saturday, February 11 Alumni Adopt-A-Game Program
The National Alumni Association has asked each Alumni Chapter to adopt and attend one Morgan State home basketball game. The DC Chapter has selected the games on February 11 when the Lady Bears and the Men’s teams will host the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. The Lady Bears start things off at 2:00 PM followed by the Men at 4:00 PM. Wear your school colors and come out and cheer the Bears. Reserved tickets are $15.00. Join the chapter in supporting and encouraging our nationally-recognized teams. Bring $15.00 to the January Chapter Meeting on January 15. We want to purchase a block of reserved tickets so that we can all sit together.
Sunday, February 19 Morgan Choir at the Music Center at Strathmore
The Morgan State Choir along with the Smithsonian Institution’s Jazz Masterworks Orchestra will present “Ellington A Sacred Concert” on Sunday February 19, 2012 at 4:00 PM. The Chapter has 15 orchestra seats reserved at a cost of $45.00 each.
