Fifth Annual Fall Benefit Concert featuring the Morgan State University Choir

October 5th, 2008

The Washington, DC Metropolitan Area Alumni Chapter presents the Morgan State University Choir, on Sunday, November 16, 2008.  The concert, which starts at 4:00 PM, is being held at the Metropolitan Baptist Church located at 1225 R Street, NW, in Washington, DC.  This is one of our major annual scholarship fundraising events.  Alumni from all over the Washington, DC metropolitan area come out to experience the miraculous voices of the Choir.  A concert flyer is attached.
This is the chapter’s fifth annual fall concert with the MSU Choir, and we all look forward to another stellar performance by this world-class vocal ensemble.  Unlike some of the concerts you may have attended in the area, our concert features the entire MSU Choir of nearly 100 voices.  You must experience the incredible sound that many wonderful voices produce within the walls of the historic Metropolitan Baptist Church.  In addition, this will be the final MSU Choir concert at the historic R Street location because Metropolitan is moving to Largo, Maryland in 2009.  As such, I’m expecting a wonderful celebration of thanksgiving that evening.
In celebration of the fifth concert and the historic election of Barack Hussein Obama as the 44th President of the United States, the concert is FREE.  Just come and bring family and friends.  And please bring along a contribution to the MSUAA, Washington, DC Metropolitan Area Chapter Scholarship Fund.
