Several upcoming events that you won’t want to miss: 

 

 

 

Ø      February 20

– AlfredStreetBaptistChurch in Alexandria, VA, will hold its 8th AnnualHBCUCollege Festival from 9 am to 2 pm.  We invite you to participate in what has become a nationally recognized event for the benefit of promoting academic excellence.  Last year, a record 40 HBCUs participated in this event!  We need volunteers to help staff the Morgan State University table.  Please respond to this email if you can dedicate at least 1 hour to support this outreach effort.  For location information, go to http://www.asbchbcu.org/.

Ø      May 27

–Exceptionally talented Morgan StateUniversity Choir will perform with renowned soprano Kathleen Battle in an inspiring multi-media program titled “Underground Railroad” at the StrathmoreMusicCenter in Bethesda, MD.  This concert is a fundraiser for AHEAD, Inc. to assist in its efforts to provide primary health care, HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment, education, and environmental health for women and infants in Tanzania.  Dr. Earl S. AHEAD, INC. (Adventures in Health, Education and Agricultural Development) was founded by Morganite Dr. Irving Williams and his wife Elvira Felton Williams 30 years ago to reach underserved communities in Africa with ground breaking health services.
